A shut-down nervous system is not proof you do not care. Courts and agencies often read it that way. That misread is the injury.

Protective parents and rejected-but-safe parents are not the same case. Mixed cases exist. The system loves one slogan. We will not.
Keep the family when you can
Hardship, conflict, and freeze are reasons to bring help in. They are not automatic reasons to take a child out.
